Readers can learn and understand more by understanding the issues of the debate and then apply them to the fictional story of AOC to make the story more real. AOC helps bring DNGC into focus - personalizing the story makes readers feel closer to the debate and shows how this issue can affect every aspect of the lives of real people. The two books kind of complete one another - reading both of them helps the reader understand both stories even more.
